At Sydney West Gateway B & B, located in the Sydney western suburb of Rooty Hill, We have a very comfortable and friendly home with 2 B&B rooms; each with elegant new, modern and clean suites to compliment the cosy and well appointed accommodation.

We have a very comfortable lounge with a library of novels, art books, some classics, collectible books, etc for your perusal.

We love to travel and If you wish, we will share with you our experiences. If you would like help with directions to most places, just ask? We are here to assist you.

Our covered deck is an ideal place to relax, contemplate nature, read a book or maybe enjoy your breakfast if you wish?

If you would like to help maintain our rose garden, there are gloves and secateurs available and mini lessons from your host as required.

We consider our position an ideal access “Gateway” for your travels north, south, east and west as well as to the Big Smoke, Sydney proper, without all the street noises normally associated with other suburban B&B’s.

We have a very comfortable lounge with an extensive library of novels.

Your Hosts: Richard & Sarah

Richard is a Retired High School Industrial Arts teacher and noted Australian ex-builder who still enjoys working with his hands. He and wife Sarah have traveled widely and love to share experiences if asked.

Richard is the author of Australian Milk & Cream Bottles and Dairy Related Items which is now the world reference book on the subject. His hobby is dealing on eBay and collecting.

Definitely a “people person” who enjoys life, has a wicked sense of humour as well as bining an excellent breakfast chef.
